The past few months of my life have been complete chaos (more so than usual). Somehow, this trip completely snuck up on me. March and April have had more than their fair share of chaos. In the past month and a half I've succumbed to the flu, attended my childhood best friend's wedding in Charleston, taken midterms, flown to Denver to celebrate another friend's engagement and visit friends, succumbed to food poisoning, unexpectedly traveled home to NC to celebrate the life of my step-grandmother following her passing, had my debit card information stolen, preached twice for class, and been summoned for jury duty..... anyone envious? Yeah, neither am I. Needless to say, I'm way less prepared for this venture than I had planned to be.
So now, here I am, taking final exams a week early, writing papers, moving out of my apartment for the summer, making last minute trips to the supermarket to buy just enough food to make it to Thursday, and packing my suitcase to leave the country for three months all in the same week (brilliant, I know). By some miracle, I'm making progress in all of these ventures. Regardless of how it all turns out, exactly one week from now I will be on a plane in route to Kenya. For now, here's a picture of my living room which has turned into packing headquarters.

Adventures await.... so stay tuned because there's no telling what the next three months will bring.
Sending hugs from Decatur
