Jambo, Kenya!

Hi all, I’m safely in Nairobi! Over the past day I’ve flown Charlotte -> Chicago-> London -> Nairobi. Phew, I’m pooped! These flights have had an unusual amount of turbulence so it’s safe to say I’m happily grounded for a while. Also, I never want to eat airplane food again - it’s gross! Pastor George Kahuho (my supervisor) and his wife Florence picked me up from the airport and. The first thing Rev. George did when we got in the car was pray a prayer of thanksgiving that I had arrived safely. Now I’m safely at the church manse (my new home) with them. Florence had a meal prepared for when we arrived and it was delicious. Tomorrow we celebrate the sabbath and then have a full work week beginning on Tuesday at the Kahawa Sukari Parish.
